About Vela
Vela is a customer loss prevention system for small business owners. It watches your Google reviews continuously and tells you, in plain language, the moment your reputation starts slipping and what is behind it. Vela is analytical, not generative: it reads and scores your reviews, but it never writes replies, sends messages, or runs campaigns. You decide what to do; Vela is the instrument that tells you the truth.
Who Vela is for
Vela is built for independent owners of restaurants, salons, auto repair shops, gyms, and dental practices. These are owners whose reputation is their livelihood, who do not have a marketing team watching their reviews, and who often find out about a problem only after it has already cost them calls. Vela is the calm instrument that watches for them.
What Vela does
- Watches. Vela reads every new Google review continuously and works out its sentiment and what it is about.
- Scores. It gives your business one Reputation Health Score from 0 to 100, banded as good, fair, or needs attention.
- Alerts. It tells you the moment something changes: a rating drop, a complaint spike, a new recurring topic, an urgent review, or a slowdown in new reviews.
- Diagnoses. Each day it gives you one sentence on the single most notable change since the last check, plus a loss-risk level of low, moderate, or elevated.
- Explains. It shows how each review moved your score, and lets you drill from any complaint topic straight into the reviews behind it.
What Vela does not do
Vela does not post replies, send texts or emails to your customers, or run review-request campaigns. That is a deliberate line. Vela is a loss prevention system, not a marketing automation platform. Its job is to observe, alert, and diagnose so you never get blindsided, and then to hand the decision back to you.
How Vela reads your reviews
You connect your Google Business Profile. Vela never asks for your account password, and you can revoke its access from your Google settings at any time. From there it scans incoming reviews against your own baseline, tracks the rating trend, recurring keywords, and sentiment, and surfaces a specific alert when something actually changes. The pace of those checks matches your plan and how active your reviews are.
