Review Intelligence for Independent Businesses

Your rating dropped. You found out three weeks later.

Vela watches your Google and Facebook reviews around the clock, flagging rating drops, complaint spikes, and emerging patterns the moment they appear. Not when it's convenient. The moment it happens.

If you have been putting off looking at your reviews because they feel personal, you are not alone. Vela reads them for you so you can act on what matters, without having to dread the looking.

Single Location: 7 days free. Card required. Cancel anytime.

The Problem

You may be losing customers right now without realizing it.

01 / THE INVISIBLE DROP

A rating shift from 4.6 to 4.3 sounds small. Research estimates it costs the average local business 0%0% of incoming calls. Most owners discover it on a slow Tuesday, weeks after it started.

02 / THE PATTERN NOBODY MAPPED

One complaint about cold food is a bad night. Six in 0 days is a kitchen problem. Without someone watching for the pattern, it looks like random noise until your lunch crowd has quietly thinned out.

03 / THE REVIEW THAT SPREAD FIRST

A 1-star review posted Friday night gets seen by 0 people before Monday morning. You saw it Tuesday. You replied Wednesday. Those people already picked somewhere else.

04 / THE REPLY YOU NEVER SENT

You meant to respond. Then a few days passed and it started feeling too late. Most owners go through this. Vela shows you each review while the window to respond is still open, with the specific language the customer used, so you know exactly what to address.

How It Works

02

Vela Reads the Patterns

The system continuously scans your incoming reviews, tracking your rating trend, detecting recurring keywords, measuring sentiment shifts against your historical baseline.

03

You Get the Alert That Matters

When something changes, you get a specific, actionable alert. Not a weekly digest. Not a vanity score. The signal, when it's actually happening.

What You Get

Your business protection dashboard.

01 / DETECT

A calm summary of what your customers are actually saying.

Instead of opening reviews one by one and bracing for what you might find, you get a clear picture: here is what came in, here is what kept showing up, here is what matters. When the same word starts appearing across multiple reviews, Vela surfaces it as a pattern, not a pile of raw feedback.

02 / ALERT

An early warning the moment your rating starts to slip.

Most owners catch it at 4.1, when they've already lost calls. You'll catch it at 4.5. The moment your average moves outside your normal band, even by 0.1, you get an alert with the timeframe, the review count, and the platform.

03 / ANTICIPATE

See the mood shift before the rating moves.

Ratings lag. Sentiment leads. Vela detects when the tone of your reviews turns negative before enough people have left 1-star reviews to drag your average down. You get a warning while you can still do something about it.

04 / ATTRIBUTE

Know exactly what to fix, not just that something's wrong.

Not "people are unhappy." Exactly: "4 of your last 9 reviews mention parking. 3 mention your Tuesday lunch shift." That's the level of specificity that makes action possible. Vela surfaces themes so the problem stays solvable.

05 / CONFIRM

Quiet weeks still count.

When your reputation is stable, Vela tells you that specifically: your Reputation Health Score, sentiment trend, complaint volume versus baseline. The absence of alerts means something real was watched and passed, not that no one was looking.

06 / BRIEF

Every Monday, a single email that tells you where you stand.

What improved. What regressed. What needs your attention. Even if you never log into the dashboard, the scorecard keeps you informed. Owners who travel or run multiple locations rely on this email as their primary signal.

I got the alert at 6:42 in the morning, before I even opened. Four reviews in three days, all mentioning the same thing about our Thursday dinner service. I called my floor manager before the lunch shift. We fixed the seating rotation that afternoon. I would not have caught that for another two weeks on my own.

What owners say after the first real alert

“I used to check Google every few days and tell myself that was enough. It wasn't. Vela caught a complaint cluster about one specific stylist before I even knew there was a problem. I appreciated knowing early rather than after I'd lost clients.”

DeShawn R.

Owner, hair salon, Atlanta GA

“I'm not a tech person. I figured this would be complicated. It took me maybe three minutes to connect my Google page, and the first real alert came two days later. Worth it just for that.”

Jim K.

Owner, independent auto repair, Columbus OH

Questions Owners Ask

Questions owners actually ask.

Will it write my replies for me?

No. Vela doesn't write anything for you, and that's a deliberate choice. AI-generated replies are easy to spot and frequently make a bad situation worse. A customer who left a real complaint deserves a real response from the person who owns the place. What Vela does is make sure you know about the complaint, understand the context, and have the specific language showing up in your reviews, so when you reply, you're responding to the actual problem, in your own words. Your voice. Your call.

How is this different from Birdeye or Podium?

Birdeye and Podium are built around review generation: getting more customers to leave reviews. That's a different job. Vela is built around review intelligence: understanding what your existing reviews are telling you before it costs you customers. We don't send mass texts to your customers asking for reviews. We watch what's already being said and tell you the moment the pattern turns.

Do I need to give you my Google account login?

No. Vela connects to your Google Business Profile and Facebook page through the platforms' standard business APIs, the same way you'd authorize any third-party app. You authorize access, and you can revoke it from your Google or Facebook settings at any time. We never see or store your account password.

What if I only get one or two reviews a week? Is this still worth it?

Yes, and here's why. With low review volume, each review carries more weight. One 1-star review can move your rating by 0.1 or 0.2 points when you only have 40 total. Vela tracks the absolute impact of each review on your rating and flags it immediately. Slow review volume actually makes individual reviews more dangerous to ignore, not less.

Do all plans have a trial?

Only Single Location does. The $39 single-location plan includes a 7-day trial: cancel anytime and your card is never charged. Multi Location ($99) and Business Network ($299) are built for operators who already know they have a multi-location problem to solve, so those plans skip the trial.

I'm honestly anxious about looking at my reviews. Will this make it worse?

It is the opposite. The anxiety usually comes from not knowing what is in there, and then opening reviews one by one without any context. Vela reads everything first and gives you a clear summary: here is what came in, here is what kept appearing, here is the one thing worth your attention. You are not staring at a wall of feedback. You are reading a digest that tells you what actually matters. When an alert fires about wait times or a specific shift, that is a systems problem, not a verdict on you personally. Most owners find that knowing is significantly less stressful than the version where they avoided it.

How fast do I get alerts?

All paid plans deliver alerts in real-time, within minutes of a new review being indexed on Google or Facebook. If a complaint cluster starts forming at 7pm on a Saturday, you'll know by 7:15.

What about Yelp?

Yelp is on our roadmap. We made a deliberate choice to build Google and Facebook first because they represent the majority of review volume for most SMB categories. Sign up and we will notify you first when Yelp is ready.

What happens if I cancel?

It depends on where you are in your billing cycle. If you cancel during the 7-day trial, it ends immediately. Your card is never charged if you cancel. If you cancel during a paid monthly subscription, you keep full access through the end of your current billing period, then the subscription stops with no further charges. Either way: no friction, no fees, two clicks from your account settings. What changes in both cases is visibility. The trend lines, complaint pattern history, sentiment tracking, and your Reputation Health Score all stop updating. The risks to your reputation don't stop, you just stop seeing them.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no "talk to sales" loop to get out. Cancel in two clicks from your account settings. Your data remains accessible until the end of your paid period, then we delete it per our privacy policy.
